Two hearts torn asunder, awash in their last year of grad school, and surviving on snarky comments, adrenaline, and caffeine. Their eyes meet as one alights next to the other in a disheveled classroom at Ye Olde Dominion University. A light. A flash. Love.

Ok, kidding aside, we offer a timeline:

September 2015. Kevin & Megan meet during their last year of grad school at ODU when they are coincidentally in the same intern supervision group. Both exhausted, both at wit’s end, and both enticed by the other. An innocent happy hour bailed on by Harrison (intentional?!?!) turned into a tradition of Wednesday night happy hours (mostly at Cogan’s North; #garlicknotsforlife) complete with alcohol, garlic knots, and infinite rounds of “tell me their story” about the other bar patrons.

January 2016. One snowy Norfolk day (read: 3 flakes had fallen), a knock on Megan’s door surprises her. There Kevin stands with a bottle of wine, a book, and a sheepish excuse that he was “in the area” (he wasn’t) and wanted to brighten her day on his way to work. Megan may or may not have legitimately swooned.

October 2016. Megan moves to Denver for work and they do everything to keep their relationship alive (the awkward greeting card tradition, Skype dates, lots of flights and miles racked up)

December 2016. Megan & Kevin travel to Cancun where Kevin meets all of Megan’s family simultaneously (#sorrynotsorry)

September 2017. Kevin finally follows her to Denver and they begin to make a life together.

May 2018. Trip to Harry Potter World with Mom & Mike (thank youuuuuuuuu). Yes, this is very important.

October 2018. Kevin turns the nursery into a fort and proposes.

November 2018. They elope during their baby-moon at The Broadmoor.

February 2019. Their tiny dictator is born and their lives further change forever.

November 2020. They host a fabulous party and celebrate with all their loved ones.
